The new judge assigned to the murder case against Ray Tensing is expected next month to set a date for Tensing's retrial.

Tensing's attorney and prosecutors met with Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Leslie Ghiz Wednesday morning in her chambers. When they emerged, Ghiz announced another hearing will take place Dec. 12. At that time, she expects to schedule the next court dates.

Ghiz was assigned the case at random Tuesday, after three judges, including Judge Megan Shanahan who presided over the first trial, disqualified themselves.

Tensing's first trial ended Nov. 12 with a hung jury. The former University of Cincinnati police officer is charged with murder and voluntary manslaughter in the shooting of Sam DuBose as he tried to drive away from a traffic stop.

After Tensing mistrial, what will Deters do next?
