Winton Woods board member resigns

The Winton Woods Board of Education will fill a vacancy after one of its members resigned.

Tim Cleary, a member of the board since 2004, resigned from the board on Sept. 8 because he moved out of the school district.

“I have seen both wins and losses over my tenure as a Winton Woods Board member, and I can say that my work for the board has been both inspiring and isolating,” Cleary said in a news release. “While accomplishments like the creation of AGS have been gratifying, the constant change in educational standards has been an ever-looming challenge.

“I have learned to seize those challenges whenever they crossed my path and have always approached my quest for success with zeal. I have been grateful for the opportunity to serve the students of this district and hope my work has made a difference in their success.”

The board accepted resumes for the position. Cleary’s term would have expired in November 2016.
