A South Fairmount man was arrested last month after, police said, he raped his daughter from the time she was 10 until she was 25, impregnating her twice.

According to court documents, the victim has two children ages 2 and 7. Genetic testing confirmed the father was a close relative, investigators said.

The man, who is in his early 50s, was indicted Friday with 43 felonies including 23 counts of rape, 17 counts of sexual battery and two counts of endangering children.

The suspect's wife has been charged with two counts of felony complicity.

The Enquirer is not naming the couple to protect the identity of the victim.

Police said he began sexually assaulting the victim several times a month when she was 10, then when the victim turned 13, sexual intercourse began. She told police he raped her two to three times a month until she left home at the age of 25.

Police began their investigation after another investigation was launched into the well-being of the victim's children.

Though the man's address is listed in South Fairmount, police said the sexual assaults occurred at two different residences in Whitewater Township and one in Riverside.

The suspect was arrested on Feb. 20. His wife was arrested March 2. They are both being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center.

The man is being arraigned in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court on March 9. It is unclear when his wife will be arraigned.
