A woman was found dead in her home early Wednesday morning in Taylor Mill, Kentucky, police said in a news release.

Police said family members and friends forced entry into a third floor apartment in the 700 block of Sharon Drive at 5 a.m. to check on the well-being of a loved one and found the 34-year-old woman deceased.

To give a chance for additional family members to be notified, police said they are withholding the woman's name at this time.

Police said due to her age, her state of health and the "newness of the investigation," they are treating her death as suspicious.
