The Xavier University basketball team had star-studded support during today's game against USC.

Actor and comedian Bill Murray was spotted in the stands in Kissimmee, Florida by ESPN cameras and fans on social media, sparking a slew of solid references to his more than 40-year-old career.

Murray is best known for such comedies as "Ghostbusters" and "Groundhog Day." He also made his mark on the sports film genre with "Caddyshack" and "Space Jam." He will host "A Very Murray Christmas," which will stream on Netflix Dec. 4.

His son, Luke Murray, is an assistant coach for the undefeated Xavier squad.  Murray was also an assistant at Rhode Island and spent time on the staffs at Towson, Wagner and Arizona, according to his biography on the Xavier Athletics page.
