68-year-old struck, killed on Dixie Highway

Police respond to the scene of a pedestrian hit on Dixie Highway in Park Hills, Kentucky.

Police have identified the man who was killed crossing the street in Park Hills, Kentucky Saturday.

Roger Lee Stephenson, 68, of Park Hills was struck by a vehicle in the 1600 block of Dixie Highway, according to the Park Hills Police Department.

Police said Stephenson was crossing the road just after 7 a.m. to get to the bus stop when he was hit, according to Park Hills Lt. Richard Webster.

Officers closed the roadway for more than three hours for the investigation and clean up.

The driver in the collision was transported to the hospital with a hand injury from a broken windshield. Webster said the driver remained at the scene until police arrived and is cooperating with investigators.

The identity of the driver has not been released.
