SALEM TWP. — Police say security measures in place at a Warren County bank may have thwarted a robbery attempt Wednesday morning.

Warren County Sheriff's Office deputies say a man attempted to gain entry into the Lebanon Citizens National Bank on US 22 in Salem Township at about 11 a.m.

The suspect was unable to gain entry into the bank, which is equipped with automatic locking doors and bullet-resistant glass. He then allegedly produced a handgun and fired several shots into the glass before fleeing the bank in a truck stolen from the lot, police said.

The stolen truck was located a short distance away. No one was hurt in the incident.

The suspect is described as a male in his 30s, standing at 6'1" and 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hat with the word "ARMY" across the front, gray pants, hoodie and a black face mask.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Warren County Sheriff's Department at 513-695-1280.
