Deer hunter falls 30 feet from tree

A deer hunter fell approximately 30 feet from a tree stand at the East Fork Wildlife Area on Monday morning, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
The man was taking part in the first day of deer-gun season, which began Nov. 30 and extends through Dec. 6.
A medical helicopter was called to the scene near Clover Road around 9 a.m.
The extent of injuries are not known.
