Metropole penguins catch Ewan McGregor's Jedi eye

This undated promotional photo provided by Twentieth Century Fox shows actor Ewan McGregor, left, as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker in a scene from "Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith."

Even actor Ewan McGregor, it seems, cannot resist the quirky yellow penguin sculptures at Metropole restaurant at the 21c Museum Hotel, Downtown.

McGregor is in Cincinnati to film "Miles Ahead," a movie about jazz icon Miles Davis, with Oscar-nominated actor Don Cheadle. Filming began Monday.

McGregor, known for his portrayal of Obi-Wan Kenobi in three "Star Wars" films, among other roles, posted photos on his Instagram account early Thursday of two of Metropole's signature plastic penguins as "Jedi Penguins" -- each wielding a red lightsaber. (Wait, wouldn't that actually make them Sith penguins??)

The first photo was captioned simply "Jedi Penguins," but the second image was a bit punnier, to the delight of "Star Wars" fans.

Its cheeky caption: "You still have much to learn my young Panguaan."

Well played, sir.
