Police: UC student stabbed overnight

A University of Cincinnati student and another person were stabbed early Sunday morning after trying to break up a fight, according to UC police.

The two were walking on Calhoun Street near Hughes High School when they saw an altercation between several people around 2 a.m., according to a Safety Alert issued by the UC Police Department.

They attempted to break up the fight and were both stabbed with injuries not considered life-threatening, the alert states.

The suspects are still at large and were last seen heading north, away from the incident, the alert states.
