In Depth: Unknown Elements with Brian Sholis. 

Join associate curator of photography Brian Sholis who is incredibly knowledgeable and fun to talk to. He will help decipher and take closer look at photos in this exhibition. Heroism in Paint: A Master Series by Jacob Lawrence.

The exhibit features a series from one of my favorite American painters. He’s a true and powerful storyteller. In this show he focuses on the founding father of Haiti. Antique Halloween.

A one-room display of antique Halloween-themed items, from toys to games and room decorations. The exhibit features items from 1900 to the 1950s. Mark Mothersbaugh Myopia.

This retrospective exhibit of the wildly diverse, Akron, Ohio-born Motherbaugh is sure to delight and surprise. It will span his career from music including DEVO, to drawings, paintings, sculptures, rugs and video animations, as well as his expansive postcard-sized works. The Art of the Brick.

Cincinnati Museum Center will host the largest display of Lego art starting Oct. 23, called “The Art of the Brick.”

The world’s largest display of Lego art by contemporary artist Nathan Sawaya features more than 100 works made of thousands of toy pieces. His work is dramatically imaginative. I can’t wait to see the 20-foot-long Lego Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton.
