Are we one of the world's most unfriendly cities?

A "prudish disposition" from the Queen City may have landed it in an rather undesirable list this week.

According to hundreds of thousands of votes submitted to the Travel + Leisure magazine in 2015, Cincinnati is the world's 18th most unfriendly city.

"I arrived in Cincinnati on a weekend and I thought it was closed," said one anonymous voter.

Travel + Leisure went on to say that the city has been working to shed its "prudish disposition."

However, specific criticisms for Cincinnati end there. The New York-based publication said that institutions like the 21C Museum Hotel are among those working to revive the city's "downtrodden districts."

The magazine tries not to step on too many toes in the post, saying that "even the best" cities have room for improvement.

Another apology from the magazine, unfortunately, doesn't quite apply to Cincinnati. "To be fair, the surliest cities also tend to be the biggest and most-fast paced," the story reads.

Is Travel + Leisure's analysis fair?
