Friday Night Lights rained out: See today's schedule

The Enquirer
Colerain and St. X players wait out a rain delay before officials decided to postpone the game.

  • Ohio

No. 4 Elder at No. 6 Lakota West has been postponed due to lightning.

The game will be played Saturday at 10 a.m.

The Anderson-McNicholas game was postponed due to lightning in the area, with Anderson leading 7-0 with :45 left in the first quarter.

The game will resume Saturday at 10 a.m. from the point when it was stopped.

The St. X-Colerain game will be played Saturday at 10 a.m.

The Walnut Hills-Princeton game will be made up Saturday.

  • Kentucky:

Simon Kenton's game at Conner in Hebron has been postponed to 10 a.m. Saturday at Conner High School. The teams waited out a 90-minute delay before officials called the game at 8:20 p.m. Both teams are undefeated. The Pioneers are 2-0 and have scored 50 or more points in both games. Conner is 1-0 after a 43-6 win over Boone County last week.

Newport Central Catholic and Campbell County were both eager to pick up their first win of the season Friday night, but the game never got underway.

After an hour and 23 minutes of delay, the game was postponed.

The two teams will meet back up at Campbell County on Saturday morning for a 10 a.m. start.

Holmes and visiting Walton-Verona, a pair of 0-2 football teams that easily could be 2-0, were looking for a breakthrough in the win column Friday night in Covington.

But they have to wait until Saturday's rescheduled kickoff time of 10 a.m. to produce a first-time winner following the postponement of Friday's originally scheduled 7 p.m. non-district contest.
