Man shot in South Cumminsville dies

A man who was shot in the head in South Cumminsville died Monday night, homicide investigators said.

Suliman Abdul Mutakallim, 38, was shot in the head Sunday night in the 1700 block of Elmore Street. He was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center in critical condition and was not expected to survive, Lt. Danita Pettis told the Enquirer on Monday morning.

Three male suspects fled the scene on foot after the shooting, police said.

No arrests have been made.

This was the second shooting that occurred Sunday night and the fifth shooting reported during the weekend.
