Rain likely, more snow possible
Steady snow then freezing drizzle had given way to fog by late morning Monday in the Greater Cincinnati area as temperatures rose steadily.
The National Weather Service in Wilmington said temperatures are expected to reach 37 degrees by mid-afternoon Monday. A winter weather advisory for the Greater Cincinnati area expired at noon.
Rain is likely Monday night, and the National Weather Service said temperatures will be critical in determining where rain becomes snow.
Some accumulation is possible.
Hamilton, Butler and Brown counties in Ohio, which had been under snow emergencies, canceled those early Monday morning. Boone County in Kentucky also canceled its snow emergency.
Campbell and Kenton counties in Kentucky were under a Level 1 snow emergency late Monday morning. Pendleton County issued a travel advisory Monday morning.
In Indiana, Dearborn County canceled its travel advisory Monday morning.
Sledding anywhere in Cincinnati
Temperatures are expected to be in the 50s by Friday.
