BEDFORD, N.H. — John Kasich plans to hold his 100th town hall meeting tonight – more than any other candidate – ahead of the New Hampshire primary Tuesday.

Kasich is hoping his folksy, down-to-earth approach will help him rise above better-packaged rivals who don't take as many questions from voters. Polls last month had shown Kasich battling for second in New Hampshire. But Marco Rubio has since moved into a solid second after his better-than-expected showing in Monday's Iowa caucus.
