The Butler County Sheriff's Office and Drug Enforcement Administration seized more than three total pounds of heroin and cocaine during a Wednesday search in Fairfield, officials said in a Monday press release.

The Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics task force, or "BURN," seized the drugs while they searched the vehicle and residence of Arnulfo Vazquez-Ledesma, police said. A K-9 alerted police to Vazquez-Ledesma's vehicle, police said. A search warrant for his residence was obtained later.

More than two pounds of heroin and a pound of cocaine, along with a handgun and $52K in U.S. currency, was seized from the two locations, police said.

The more than three total pounds of drugs had an estimated street value of about $150,000, police said.

Vazquez-Ledesma was arrested and is currently jailed on federal drug trafficking charges.

"Another win for the good guys," said Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones in the release. "These dealers need to learn to stay out of Butler County."
