Former University of Cincinnati linebacker Nick Temple will get a tryout with the Cincinnati Bengals, UC announced Sunday night.

Temple joins several of his former teammates who will try to make National Football League teams as undrafted free agents, with no UC players picked in the 2015 draft that concluded Saturday night.

Nick Temple joins several former UC teammates who hope to make NFL teams as free agents.

Former Bearcats linebacker Jeff Luc, offensive linemen Tyreek Burwell and Eric Lefeld, and defensive ends Brad Harrah, Terrell Hartsfield, Jerrell Jordan and Camaron Beard were among those accepting opportunities shortly after the draft ended Saturday. Luc said he agreed to a deal with the Miami Dolphins and Burwell tweeted that he is heading to the San Diego Chargers.

UC spokesman Ryan Koslen confirmed several other deals for former Bearcats, including Lefeld to the Atlanta Falcons, Harrah to the New York Giants and Hartsfield to the Indianapolis Colts.

Beard, Jordan and Temple will receive tryouts from the Bengals, Koslen said.

Lefeld, Hartsfield and Luc all were first team All-American Athletic Conference in 2014, and Temple made honorable mention.

UC, for the second consecutive year, had no players taken in the NFL draft. It was the first time since 1995 and '96 that UC was blanked in two consecutive NFL drafts, according to the Beracats media guide.
