UPCOMING EVENTS:

  • Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices will hold a dedication ceremony for its newest small house neighborhood at 4150 Bach Buxton Road in Union Township. The ceremony is planned for Dec. 15, starting with refreshments at 9:15 a.m., the ceremony at 10 a.m. and tours the rest of the day. Speakers include state representative Doug Green, Union Township Board of Trustees chair John McGraw, Clermont County Chamber president Matt Van Sant, as well as Otterbein executives, representatives from the architect and builder and other members of the community. This event is open to the public.

  • The executive director of Scarf It Up For Those In Need, Tammy Simpson, will be the guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Kenton County’s luncheon meeting Thursday, Dec. 17. The luncheon will begin at noon at the Colonial Cottage Inn (3140 Dixie Highway in Erlanger). There will be limited seating by reservation only.   • Northern Kentucky University's Mayerson Student Philanthropy Project will award $17,420 to 12 local nonprofit agencies that have partnered with students this fall on a range of community projects.

HIGHLIGHTS:​

  • Orthopaedic surgeons at The Christ Hospital Health Network provided free hip and knee replacements to three low-income patients without medical insurance on Dec. 5, as part of Operation Walk USA.
