Marriage licenses once again issued in Rowan County

As a Kentucky county clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to gay couples sits in jail, gay couple William Smith and James Yates obtained a license from Deputy Clerk Brian Mason on Friday morning. Obama, Saudi Arabian king to discuss Iran, counter terrorism

President Obama will meet with Saudi Arabian King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the White House Friday in further attempts to build support for the Iran nuclear deal. In a speech for the deal, Vice President Joe Biden said if Congress scuttles the international agreement it will impair the president's ability to muster allies to deal with Russia and China in the future. The White House said the agenda for the king's visit covers security and counter-terrorism efforts, as well as "regional topics including the conflicts in Yemen and Syria, and steps to counter Iran's destabilizing activities." Oh, and the king took over an entire Four Season hotel for his visit.

But while economists expect the government to report that a solid 218,000 jobs were added to the economy last month, they also believe that recent market turmoil may put off the Fed in making any rate moves for now.
