Hamilton High closed for water main break

Hamilton High School will be closed Friday due to a water main break, according to school officials. All other Hamilton City Schools will remain open.

A Hamilton City School official in the school's main office confirmed the closure, as well as a "huge" water main break.

"I'm currently sitting in a puddle," the official said.

Hamilton City Schools alerted the closure via social media posts on Twitter and Facebook.

The extent of the damage caused by the break is unclear. Hamilton fire and emergency officials could not immediately be reached for comment.

Accounts for Hamilton City Schools (‏@Hamilton_CSD) and school Principal John Wilhem (@Mr_Wilhelm_HHS) posted about the closure and water main break on Twitter.

Information regarding the closure was also posted on the school district's Facebook page.
