Teen arrested in shooting near Norwood store

Witnesses and security video helped lead police to a suspect in a shooting at Sherman Market in Norwood on Tuesday.

A 20-year-old man was shot in the face outside the front door of the market at 4603 Carter Ave. around 6:49 p.m. A suspect was arrested 10 minutes later.

Police said Trevon Jackson, 18, shot the man and fled on foot.

The victim was alert and speaking before being taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, police said.

The injury does not appear to be life-threatening.

Jackson is accused of felonious assault and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

Sherman Market,  a convenience store on 1764 Sherman Avenue, was the location of 217 police calls in the last two years including fights, a felonious assault with a person shot and drug trafficking.
