A Colerain Township man was arrested Thursday after he called 911 and requested a life squad because he was drunk, according to court documents. Police report he'd been calling "for months" for the same reason.

Richard Hughes, 27, has been charged with making false alarms. Officials state he's received three verbal warnings and a written warning in recent months for the behavior.

"The arrested continues to abuse emergency services by calling 911 for a life squad every time he gets highly intoxicated," police wrote on Hughes' arrest report.

Hughes signed his written warning about the behavior on Wednesday, but 911 was called again Thursday and police returned to his Woodsong Court residence to arrest him.

Officers stated in court documents that each of the previous times Hughes had called, he was evaluated and nothing was found to be wrong medically.

Hughes is being held on a $30,000 bond while he awaits an April 6 trial.
