A man told police he was robbed at gunpoint when he tried to buy pain pills from a man in Springfield Township Friday night.

Chattwin Rogers, 29, is accused of robbing a man at gunpoint when the two met at Rogers mother's home in the 1000 block of Timber Trail to buy narcotics around 8 p.m., police said.

The man told police he went to the home with his girlfriend to buy pain pills because he has kidney stones, according to court documents.

Before he could buy the pills, Rogers allegedly displayed a black handgun and robbed him of $45, police said.

The man and his girlfriend confronted Rogers and another man after the robbery, and the fight was broken up by Rogers' mother, according to court documents.

Rogers was arrested around 9 p.m.

He is accused of aggravated robbery and scheduled to appear in court Saturday.
