There's no telling why a group of Florence Mall shoppers broke out into a Black Friday fight, but there it was, on video.

Florence Police Capt. Tom Grau said police received calls between 1 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. Friday about a brawl in the mall.

"We got a bunch of calls about a large fight," Grau said. "By the time our guys got there, it was done. Everybody was gone."

While police don't know what prompted the fight, Grau said it's pretty clear that no one was fighting over the last toy in any store. It happened outside stores on the upper level of the mall.

The disturbance didn't appear to deter other shoppers, who continued their Black Friday spree.

"The mall was packed," Grau said.

He said there were no reports of injuries.

The scuffle may have been short-lived, but it was making national Black Friday news after sunrise.

Florence Mall wasn't the only Kentucky mall that played host to violent shoppers. Another fight captured in a Twitter user's video in Mall St. Matthews in Louisville can be seen below.

The Enquirer's sister newspaper the Louisville Courier-Journal reported that a fight broke out Thanksgiving night at the mall featuring two men fighting near the food court.
