Police: 2 shootings occur minutes apart

Two shootings in Cincinnati occurred within minutes of each other Monday night, according to police.

A person was shot at the Westwood Family Dollar store in the 2400 block of Harrison Avenue at approximately 9:20 p.m. Another person sustained at least one gunshot wound minutes later at 3519 W. Eighth St. around 9:35 p.m., police confirmed.

An update on the status of the two gunshot victims was not immediately available.

The incidents do not appear to be related, police said.

Both scenes are still being investigated. Additional information was not immediately available.
