Construction is expected to start this month on a 674,000-square-foot distribution facility in Independence for VanTrust Real Estate LLC.

Paul Hemmer Co. announced the project at 536 Mt. Zion Road.

The facility, to be called Park 536, is a speculative development being built to meet the market demand for distribution and warehouse space in Northern Kentucky, according to Hemmer.

Construction is expected to be completed by July 2016. This is Paul Hemmer Company’s second construction project with Kansas City-based VanTrust, which has a regional office in Columbus. Hemmer recently completed a 226,800 sq. ft. speculative distribution facility for VanTrust in Grove City, Ohio, and was contracted by VanTrust to build out a tenant finish in that facility

Columbus-based RED Architecture is coordinating the project design and architecture for Park 536. John Gartner and Norm Khoury with Colliers International represent VanTrust in marketing and leasing the building, according to Hemmer.
