14-year-old arrested, charged with murder

A 14-year-old was arrested and charged with murder after a Cincinnati Police SWAT team executed a search warrant Thursday night.

Javon Coulter, 14, was arrested in the 3100 block of Beekman Street late Thursday and was taken to the Hamilton County Juvenile Youth Center, officials said.

Coutler was charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated murder in the shooting death of Abdul Mutakalim, who died on Tuesday.

The shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Elmore Street in South Cumminsville, police said.

Future court dates for Coulter were not immediately available.
