Traffic was closed off at the intersection of Montana and Anaconda in Westwood for a reported standoff with police. The CPD SWAT team along with several officers responded to the scene.

Update 6:55 a.m.: Cincinnati Police Chief Jeffrey Blackwell said the standoff in the 2600 block of Montana Ave. in Westwood has concluded with one suspect in custody and another presumed armed and dangerous.

Police initially responded to a 911 call of an armed robbery at 3:30 a.m. to find three residents of a home had escaped while a fourth needed assistance getting through a locked door, Lt. Danita Pettis said. The suspects remained in the residence while SWAT units communicated with them via megaphone.

Police were able to peacefully take one of the two suspects into custody.

"It is over. Came to a successful resolution," Blackwell said shortly before 7 a.m.

He said the quick response by the police allowed for a secured perimeter while SWAT managed the arrest. He added the other suspect was presumably able to escape and should be considered "very armed, very dangerous."

No description of the suspect was immediately available.
