A 63-year-old man is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday on charges of sexually abusing of a girl over a period of three years.

Robert Ware, mostly recently recorded as living in Milford, has been indicted on five counts of gross sexual imposition stemming from the alleged abuse of a minor that began in 2012 when the victim was 12 years old, according to court documents.

The indictment outlines sexual assaults involving the juvenile, now a teenager, with incidents occurring each year since 2012. Most recently, around Jan. 23, Ware is accused of forcing the teen to strip for what he called "Naked Friday" and assaulting her, according to court records.

"This abuse occurred on a frequent and repeated basis during the time span contained in the indictment," the records state.

Ware was arrested on the initial charges in April, but he has since been indicted on an additional court of rape in connection with an incident in 1999 with a different woman.

Ware was first arrested April 10 in connection with this case and was released the next week on $100,000 bond.

Ware was indicted on the rape charges on June 17 and was arrested for a second time on June 22. In this case, he was released on a $50,000 bond, court documents state.

At both arraignments, Ware has pleaded not guilty. He is being represented by lawyer Timothy A. Smith, who did not respond to requests for comment.

Ware is scheduled to appear before Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge Jerome Metz on Tuesday.
