"Most, if not all" of Oxford will be without power Thursday afternoon, according to the Oxford Police Department.
After an early morning accident on State Route 27 near Oxford, Duke Energy needs to replace an electrical pole that affects most of the city's power grid, police said.
The power outage is expected to begin at noon. Officials expect the outage to last two to three hours.
The Oxford Police Department says that traffic lights should be treated as a four-way stop during the outage.
