A 24-year-old man wanted on felony charges including theft led police on a vehicle chase Saturday through residential streets in East Walnut Hills and Evanston, officials said.

The pursuit ended when officials say Dionte Dorsey crashed the 1994 Buick Park Avenue into concrete steps at Kinney and Burke avenues in Evanston.

A Hamilton County sheriff's deputy tried to pull over the car at about 8:30 p.m. in Columbia Township because it had a fictitious license plate, according to a news release. The car fled west on Madison Road, the news release said, and the chase continued through residential streets in East Walnut Hills and then Evanston.

During the pursuit, Dorsey, who officials say was driving the car, struck at least two unoccupied parked vehicles. He ran from the car, the news release said, but officers caught up to him and he surrendered.

Dorsey was wanted on three felony charges including theft, the news release said. He now faces charges including failure to comply with a police officer, driving with fictitious license plates and not having a valid driver's license. He is being held at the Hamilton County jail. A passenger in the car was released.
