A male shooting victim reportedly fled the site of an East Westwood shooting on Thursday morning, Cincinnati police said. Authorities have alerted area hospitals to expect a shooting victim.

A person was shot on Irving Avenue in Avondale just before 5 p.m. on Monday, according to police.

By the time police arrived on the scene, however, the victim had already been taken to the hospital, officials reported.

The shooting marks the 14th in the past seven days in the Cincinnati area.

Officials could not confirm witnesses' accounts of friends driving the victim away from the scene or if the victim was at the wheel.

Irving Avenue is a residential street lined mostly with multi-family buildings between Vine Street and Reading Road.

This incident came just hours after a fatal shooting less than four miles north on Reading Road in Bond Hill and represents the third reported shooting that happened Monday.

Police are continuing to investigate. No further details about the shooting are available at this time.
