WILMINGTON — Deputies in Clinton County say they arrested two Columbus men who were found traveling through southern Ohio with 131 marked bags of marijuana worth more than $200,000.

WCMH-TV reports the Clinton and Ross county sheriff’s offices and U.S. 23 Major Crimes Task Force were tipped to a major marijuana shipment moving through Clinton County en route to neighboring Ross County.

Ryan Justin Ward and Sean Brian Lewie, both 26, were stopped Monday traveling in a Dodge pickup. High-grade marijuana, bagged and marked by strain, was found inside a container on the bed of the truck, appearing to originate from a sophisticated growing operation. No firearms were found.

Ward and Lewie were charged with possessing drugs, a second-degree felony, and transported to the county jail. They’ve since been released.
