Roadwork related to Cincinnati streetcar construction is likely to affect drivers Downtown Tuesday and Wednesday, according to a release from the city.

Eastbound 12th Street between Race and Walnut streets will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. as crews mill and pave the road surface, according to the release.

Cincinnati police will direct traffic along a 50-foot-long stretch of Elm Street where crews will remove old streetcar track to allow for milling and paving, the release said. Motorists should expect intermittent closures in this area until work concludes later in the week, the release said.

Access/detours

Eastbound motorists on 12th Street will be detoured south at Race Street, east on Central Parkway, north on Vine Street and west on 12th Street, the release said.

Vine Street will be reduced to one line in each direction while work is in progress.

Access to the School for Creative and Performing Arts, 3CDC's offices and nearby storefronts and residences will be maintained, the release said, and pedestrian access won't be interrupted.
