One man was killed and two others were wounded after an early morning shooting in Hamilton on Sunday.

Police first received a 911 call around 1:30 a.m. Sunday from the 100 block of Walnut Street.

When officials reached the scene, two victims were found that had been shot, police said in a release. One of the men was taken to West Chester Hospital and the second was flown to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

More than an hour later, police located a third man at the same scene. The man suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police believe that all three of the victims were connected to the same incident or continued incidents.

Names of the victims will be released at a later time, pending the notification of families.
