Elizabeth Napier and Jason May, parents of 13 month-old twins Sean and Samantha, who with their grandfather Charles Napier were struck and killed by a car on Weaver Road, pause after erecting crosses with balloons near the spot where their children were killed.

The community is once again coming together to support the family of the grandfather and his two grandchildren who were hit by a car and killed in Florence in March.

On Sunday between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m., the community is hosting a fundraiser to benefit Elizabeth Napier and her family. Elizabeth Napier's twin 13-month-old children, Samantha and Sean, were killed in the crash along with her father, Charles Napier, while walking home from lunch. Her other son, Ethan, was also injured in the crash.

The money will go toward medical bills, lawyer fees and other costs, said Kelly Mays, Napier's friend and the event coordinator.

"Elizabeth's entire family is like a second family to me," Mays said. "I feel horrible that they have had to go through this. It's been really great to see everyone come together."

The event will feature live music from seven different bands, food, beer, a raffle, a silent auction and a corn hole tournament. Mays said there have been around 70 donations to the raffle and the silent auction.

"It should be really good," she said.

There is a $10 cover charge for the event, which includes the cost of food. Beer, soda and water are available for sale.

Children 10 and under are free, and there will be kid-friendly activities.

The event will go on rain or shine, and there is an indoor area as well.

The fundraiser will be held at the Oak Creek Pavillion on Oak Creek Road in Verona. For more information and the event schedule, visit the event's Facebook page.

A GoFundMe account was also established in March to raise money for the family.
