Two men were injured in a shooting in Walnut Hills near Oak Street and Stanton Avenue Sunday.

Two men suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a Sunday afternoon shooting in Cincinnati's Walnut Hills neighborhood, according to Cincinnati police officials.

The men, ages 19 and 30, were taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after being shot near the intersection of Oak Street and Stanton Avenue, said police Sgt. Mike Bepler.

Several neighbors near the shooting scene, who declined to be named, said the shootings occurred just after 6 p.m.

Bepler said the victims suffered leg wounds, and as of 7 p.m., were still being interviewed by police.

Bepler said police did not have additional information on possible suspects or motives for the shootings. Police shut down traffic on a section of Stanton Avenue during the investigation.

The incident remains under investigation.
