Great Parks to celebrate 85 years with party

Great Parks of Hamilton County will celebrate 85 years of connecting communities to nature and each other with an all-day birthday party Saturday.

The party will feature several free events, activities and programs throughout the park district all day, according to a press release.

Free events include:

• Entry into all Great Parks

• Facility entry to all wet playgrounds, indoor playgrounds, Highfield Discovery Garden in Glenwood Gardens, Heritage Village Museum in Sharon Woods and more kid friendly locations

• Harbor rentals, including bikes, boats, canoes and kayaks

• Fishing at Lake Isabella and Campbell Lakes

• Golf (tee times must be made in advance and fill on a first-come-first-served basis)

• Live nature and outdoor education programs

• Outdoor fitness classes, live music and an interactive dance party
