MASON – Kings Island is offering free admission for military members this Memorial Day weekend.

Members of the military who present a valid military ID will receive free admission to the 364-acre Mason amusement park May 22-25.

Qualifying military personnel includes all active and retired military members, National Guard, veterans with honorable or medical discharges and Reserve Officers' Training Corps members with government-issued identification.

The offer also allows military personnel to purchase admission tickets at a discounted price of $29.99 for up to six family members.

Kings Island opened its 44th season last month with two new family rides, a remodeled International Street and new food offerings. The big draw this season continues to be Banshee, the park's $24 million roller coaster that broke world records as the longest inverted steel coaster when it debuted last year.
