The Reds will wear their traditional home, white tops Saturday against the Milwaukee Brewers with patriotic printing sewn inside the jersey numbers and front-facing "C-Reds" logo.

The Major League Baseball logo on the back of the neck is patterned to resemble the U.S. flag. An American flag is also stitched onto the jersey's right sleeve.

The Reds will also wear an all-red hat with the traditional "C" logo facing forward. Light blue printing of what appears to be a wind-blown "Old Glory" adorns the front panels of the New Era hat, which is made of performance materials.

The items are available to fans for purchase. A portion of the proceeds from sales will be donated to Welcome Back Veterans.

July 4th-themed, on-field equipment is now a years-old MLB practice, and teams across baseball participate. Even franchises that closely guard their uniform traditions like the New York Yankees partake.

No stranger to new jerseys

If the Reds don't have the most uniforms in MLB, they're probably near the top of the list. They've worn at least eight different uniforms so far in 2015.

The team's wardrobe of jerseys is vast, and goes well beyond its rotation of traditional home whites, road grays, and the red tops for day games played at Great American Ball Park.

So far in 2015, the Reds have also sported these jerseys in regulation play:

  • A throwback-style jersey in honor of the franchise's 1990 squad, its fifth World Series-winning team.
  • An all-camouflage top to honor military.
  • A red, day-game top with camouflage printing inside the numbers and front "C-Reds" logo to honor military on Memorial Day.
  • A batting-practice style jersey with script "Reds" trimmed in green and a shamrock stitched onto a sleeve. This was for Irish Heritage Night.

This doesn't include the Spanish language-themed "Los Rojos" top that has been worn in the past and will likely be worn again.
