Ameritas unveiling $17M projects in Forest Park

Financial services firm Ameritas will host a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday to celebrate the completion of two big construction projects valued at $17 million at its Forest Park campus.

A new 70,000 square-foot office building was finished last September, according to an Ameritas news release. Located on Waycross Road, the building will house about 350 Ameritas workers.

Another building, also on Waycross Road, was remodeled. The 201,000 square-foot building will house 225 Ameritas workers, as well as Jacobs Engineering, a major Ameritas tenant.

This building also includes a new cafeteria, remodeled conference center and new fitness center, according to the release.

Ameritas has about 575 employees at the Forest Park location and 2,300 nationwide.

The ceremony will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the company's main entrance, 1880 Waycross. A reception and building tours will follow.

Amertias, which is headquartered in Lincoln, Nebraska, is a mutually-owned provider of insurance, financial products and services to individuals, families and businesses.
