Police: Man, pregnant woman shot in the street

A man and a pregnant woman were shot while standing in a Mount Airy street Saturday night and two male suspects are at large, police said.

The reported shooting took place around 6:50 p.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of Chesterfield Court, according to police at the scene.

"We believe another car came down the cul-de-sac and shot them," said Cincinnati Police Department Sgt. Donald Brown. "We're now looking for two male suspects that fled the scene in a gray mid-size sedan."

The victims were both taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Brown said. The unborn child appeared to be "OK," according to police at the scene.

Police are unsure what led to the shooting. An investigation into the incident is ongoing
