A 16-year-old is in critical condition after he was shot in the stomach in Winton Hills, Cincinnati police said.

"We don't know what happened," said Lt. Tim Brown, the night chief. "(The victim) is unable to tell us."

Police found the teenager near 1 Craft St. about 9:45 p.m. Monday. He was rushed to the hospital with one gunshot wound to the stomach, where he remained early Tuesday morning.

In a separate overnight shooting in Millvale, a 23-year-old man was shot in the buttocks near Ethel M. Taylor Academy around 12:45 a.m., Brown said.

The man told police he was walking down the street when another man punched him and then shot him for no apparent reason, Brown said.

His injuries were not considered life-threatening, Brown said. The victim did not fully cooperate with police, he said.

No arrests have been made in either shooting.
