Police: Robbery victim walked home after being shot in leg

A male shooting victim reportedly fled the site of an East Westwood shooting on Thursday morning, Cincinnati police said. Authorities have alerted area hospitals to expect a shooting victim.

Cincinnati police are responding to reports of a robbery victim who walked home after being shot in Westwood, according to emergency communications.

Police reports indicate the shooting victim was initially robbed and shot in the leg at a Westwood bus stop at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Fischer Place, according to emergency communications.

The wounded victim then reportedly walked home from the bus stop to an apartment on the 3900 block of Yearling Drive - a distance of approximately 1.6 miles.

Cincinnati police could not immediately provide an update on the victim's status.

Two male suspects were reportedly involved in the robbery and shooting, according to emergency communications.
