Walnut Hills shooting third in 24 hours

Police responded to reports of the third shooting in the city in past 24 hours Tuesday night.

Officers were called to the 2800 block of Ashland Avenue in Walnut Hills just after 9:30 p.m.

A firearm was recovered at the scene and later a suspected victim was located at University of Cincinnati Medical Center, police said.

No arrests have been reported, and the identity of the victim has not been released.

Another man was shot in Avondale around 5:30 p.m. near the South Avondale Elementary School, and a third person suffered a gunshot wound in Over-the-Rhine late Monday night.
