March is coming in like a lion, but it's more tame than last week.

Greater Cincinnati received nearly an inch of snow Sunday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington – several inches less than last week's storm.

But that wasn't the end of it. Freezing rain and ice persisted throughout the day.

Snow changed to freezing rain as temperatures climbed toward the afternoon high of 38 degrees, according to the weather service.

The weather service expects travel to become difficult due to the snow and ice accumulations.

Temperatures will drop to 24 Sunday night. More snow is possible, but will likely only come as light flurries.

The week's forecast:

Monday: A high near 33 low temperatures dropping to 25.

Tuesday: A 100 percent chance of precipitation - mostly in the form of freezing rain and sleet before 10 a.m. High temperatures of 54. More rain Tuesday night with lows of 31.

Wednesday: Rain and snow possible - an 50 percent chance. 38 degrees during the day. Lows of 13 overnight.

Thursday: Sunny with highs of 24. Lows of 10.

Friday: High temperatures of 34. Lows of 21.
