Cincinnati police responded Tuesday night to Westwood for the county's third reported shooting of the day.

Police responded to the parking lot of the U.S. Market on Harrison Avenue for a drive-by shooting at about 10:30 p.m., according to emergency communications. The scene was secured at about 10:40 p.m., police said.

A 21-year-old man was shot twice in the leg, said Lt. Kim Williams, the night chief.

Witnesses told police that shots were fired from a silver vehicle and the shooting could have stemmed from an earlier altercation.

Earlier, gunmen opened fire on northbound Interstate 75 north of the Lockland split. Two people were injured in the shooting, both with non-life threatening injuries.

Just before 3 p.m., a teen was fatally shot in East Walnut Hills near the intersection of William Howard Taft Road and Park Avenue. The victim -- identified later as 15-year-old Nathaniel Scott Jr. -- was reportedly shot in the chest and back, according to emergency communications.
