A 32-year-old man accused of showing child pornography to fellow residents of a Cincinnati halfway house has been charged in federal court.

Chad Allan Mullins faces one count of possessing child pornography, according to documents filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Cincinnati.

Court documents say that Mullins' LG cellphone contained at least 300 images depicting child pornography.

Mullins, who served four years in state prison for burglary and breaking and entering, was placed at the Talbert House last year as part of his release from prison.

A supervisor at the facility confiscated Mullins' cellphone in December, court documents say, after being told by other residents that he was showing them images depicting children engaged in various sexual acts.

The device also contained searches, the documents say, including "naked kids in bed" and "5-12yrs old nude."

Mullins was arrested in January, records show, and is being held at the Butler County Jail for federal authorities.
